Meet Our Market Manager
Patti Oldfield

Patti Oldfield brings energy, organization, and a deep love for local food and community to the White Rock Farmers Market. As Market Manager, she ensures every Sunday runs smoothly, from coordinating vendors to welcoming visitors with a smile. Patti’s dedication and hands-on approach help make the market a friendly, vibrant gathering place for everyone.

Elaine Cheung

President

Elaine Cheung is a White Rock City Councillor, dedicated community leader, and active volunteer. Alongside her role on Council, she serves on several non-profit boards and has supported a wide range of local organizations, including the Peninsula Community Foundation, Peace Arch Hospice, and the White Rock Elks. Elaine is passionate about building strong, inclusive communities and is recognized for her collaborative spirit, hands-on involvement, and long-standing commitment to making White Rock a vibrant place to live.

Jackie.Christofferson

Vice President/Treasurer

Jackie Christofferson is a proud resident of White Rock where she resides with her husband Greg and two boys. She has volunteered for the White Rock Farmers Market for the last three years, and currently is the Vice President and Treasurer.
 
She enjoys supporting her community and small businesses. She assisted in redrafting the market’s policies and organizes the annual raffle to spotlight vendors and support the local community groups, such as the Coupon Program and the Pantry Project that feed those in need. She is currently on the Sponsorship Committee and Policy Committee.
 
Jackie is a lawyer at WorkSafeBC. She also volunteers her time on the Board of Governors at a local independent school where she is also Chair of the Governance Committee.

Nicole Cormier-Degner

Board Secretary

Nicole Cormier-Degner resides in the Elgin area of South Surrey with her husband Ryan and their two children. Originally hailing from New Brunswick, Nicole has embraced the West Coast lifestyle for over 30 years. As a local Realtor with Homelife Benchmark Realty, she is passionate about giving back. Volunteering through the Homelife Community Public Relations team and with personal initiatives like volunteering at the community kitchen at Grace Point Church.

For almost two years, Nicole has also been an active volunteer with the White Rock Farmers Market, where she now serves as both a Board Member and Secretary. Drawing on her strong background in sales, she helps secure sponsorships, promote the market, and represent them at community events, like the Torch light Parade, reflecting her commitment to fostering local spirit and supporting causes close to home.

Matt Dai

Board Member

Matt is the passionate founder of Kingdom Athletics, a thriving fitness community built on his love for training and empowering others. With a vision to foster physical and mental strength, he has grown Kingdom Athletics into a hub for personalized fitness, offering programs like personal training, private boxing classes. Matt is deeply committed to his community, particularly through innovative senior fitness programs that promote health, mobility, and confidence for older adults. By designing low-impact exercises and providing nutritional guidance, he ensures seniors thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment. Matt’s dedication to uplifting those around him makes him a respected leader and advocate for wellness in his community.

Temma Chow

Board Member

Temma Chow lives and works in White Rock and serves on the Boards of the White Rock Farmers’ Market and Penmar Community Arts Society. She is the Manager of Operations at the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, a mother of two, and passionate about supporting small businesses and community initiatives.

Cole Izsak

Board Member

Cole Izsak is the owner and CEO of Back On Track Recovery Ltd. and Executive Director of BOT Recovery Society, a non-profit supporting marginalized women. A man in long-term recovery, Cole has dedicated his life to helping others overcome addiction, mental health challenges, and homelessness. His work has earned recognition including the BC Good Citizenship Award, Surrey Board of Trade awards, and induction into the Surrey Pride Hall of Fame. Now a proud White Rock resident and single father, Cole is passionate about giving back to his community and creating spaces of hope and healing.

Patti Oldfield

Market Manager

Patti moved to South Surrey/White Rock in 2000 from Vancouver and has been proud to call this community home ever since. Her career included managing a variety of hospitality venues until 2010, followed by serving as a Regional Property Manager for a national real estate investment trust company from 2010 to 2021. After a brief retirement, she welcomed the opportunity to get involved with the White Rock Farmers’ Market, where she continues to contribute in her current role as Market Manager.
